My name is Fletcher Smith and I have been a working musician in London since 1983. I have played with many bands and done a lot of studio work. I have worked with a varity of artists including Heatwave, Loose Ends, Pee Wee Ellis, Liberty and Ed Bentley. I have worked in many genres of music although I must admit to a love of R&B in all it’s many flavours. That being said I can offer tutoring in many styles, Rock, Blues, Country, Soul, Jazz. I can also teach music theory to those who wish to know. To be honest it’s hard to learn to play music without learning at least some theory, but I try to make it a natural part of learning rather than a chore.
When it comes to teaching experience I have over ten years of personal tutoring of all age groups and all levels of ability. I have teaching qualifications and have also taught in a sixth form college. I pace the lessons to suit the individual and do all I can to help the student become the guitar player they want to be.
